For anyone who has experienced grief that they haven't fully processed, it's all too relatable. This week's guest is the amazing human Jill Halfpenny. You might know Jill from Coronations Street, Eastenders or Waterloo Road, or, for those of you that remember the early days of Byker Grove, she played Nicola Dobson throughout her teenage years. We sat down with Jill on a bench in Soho Square (sorry about the construction work noise in the background this week) on a very hot day and heard her stories. Jill has experienced and come through some difficult times and she bears her scars with dignity and passion. She talks candidly about her losses and her struggles as a young actress growing up in the North East of England. She and Craig discuss the pressures of small talk, getting stuff thrown at you on the bus, unprocessed trauma, people-pleasing, being bulletproof and loads, loads more.
