Summary

In the second episode of British Murders Season 5, I tell the story of Brian Blackwell.⁣

On July 25, 2004, 18-year-old Brian Blackwell brutally murdered his parents, Sydney and Jackie Blackwell, with a claw hammer and a knife.

⁣He stabbed his parents a total of 50 times between them.

After being diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) by three psychiatrists and two psychologists⁣, Brian was found guilty of two counts of manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.

He was handed a life sentence on June 29, 2005, by Mr Justice Royce with a minimum term to serve of 12 years.

As the result of a parole board hearing in 2016, Brian was released from Swinfen Hall Young Offender's Institution and is now a free man.
