Summary

There comes a moment — quiet, piercing, undeniable — when your soul whispers: “This isn’t working.”
In this powerful episode, we confront the ache of misaligned ambition, the burnout of chasing what was never meant to fulfill you, and the holy invitation to stop, turn around, and walk with God in a new direction.

This isn’t a message about quitting.
It’s a call to repentance and revival.
To courage.
To freedom.
To finally stop running East when the sunset has always been in the West.

If you’re tired, restless, or just ready for something real — this episode is for you.
It’s time to disappoint the crowd, silence the noise, and rediscover the beauty of a surrendered life.

Pause. Breathe. Turn around. God is waiting.

Hey everyone, happy Wednesday. Welcome to a new episode of Midweek Rise Up. It's E, and I hope you're having an amazing week. This week for me is very special and is next week. But tomorrow is my four-year anniversary with my incredible husband. And then next week, next Wednesday, is my son's first birthday.

0:21.5

So May is giving me all the feels right now.

0:25.1

But I just wanted to share with you this episode,

0:28.7

something that's really been weighing on my heart

0:31.2

when it comes to feeling like you might be running in the wrong direction.

0:36.5

Because there comes a moment, and it's not loud, it's not theatrical even,

0:42.3

and it's sometimes not even convenient, to be honest with you,

0:46.3

when your soul finally gets a word in,

0:49.3

and you literally can say to yourself, this just isn't working. There's something off. There's

0:56.8

something that I need to reassess here. And maybe it's while the world is still asleep and

1:02.8

silence stretches out long enough for that truth to surface. Or even sometimes it could be in a car

1:10.6

ride mid-commute when the music stops for a second

1:14.2

and it's just silent and that quiet whisper of your soul rises not to condemn you not to

1:21.8

shame you but in some sense to rescue you and it's saying saying or it's asking, this isn't working.

1:30.8

You've performed, you've pushed, you've prayed through clenched teeth,

1:36.1

you've run hard, you've run fast, faithfully even,

1:39.8

but here you are, you're exhausted,

1:42.7

you're discouraged and on the edge of spiritual collapse,

1:46.2

and still you don't have peace. And fair question is why? Why don't we have that piece after

1:55.8

running, striving? And it's honestly because you've been chasing the sunset in the east. There is no sunset

2:05.7

coming from the east. That is the wrong direction. Instead, you should be running for the sunset in the

2:13.0

west because no matter how good your intentions are, the sun will never set in that direction.
