great about it too. I have been looking forward to this for a while. Yay. Well I'm especially excited because as all of our listeners know, I'm a middle school teacher.

So having Nicola is also, like it's both a personal and a professional thrill.

You can't tell your kids that you do this though.

I can't tell my students about it.

I actually am now a little afraid.

They'll be like, oh my God God I love like everything she's on I

listen and then they were like but wait sounds like my English teacher it's not

everyone it's not your English teacher I'm not a English teacher I'm not a English teacher I love having a secret life, you know, when I was writing,

everything, I didn't tell my job, my old job that I was a writer at all. Like I kept it a secret for years and years

until I quit.

And they're like, what are you doing?

I'm like, I'm gonna go write books now.

Well done.

Well, you're incredibly brave.

I did the same thing.

I wrote my first book in secret while I had you know this

corporate job and then I published it under a different name because I was like no

one would find me if I'm writing romance novels under this other name.

And then when I quit, everyone was like,

wait, you do what on the side?

...
