0:31.3	And the romance and mystery of all those locked doors was perhaps what attracted John Shaw there in the first place.
0:39.7	He'd worked security up at Kingmore and down at the site in Whitehaven.
0:44.5	Before that, he was on a merchant ship for a while.
0:48.1	Something about the job at the storage depot attracted him more than all of his previous engagements.
0:56.5	What could be behind 612 locked doors,
1:01.1	all of them neatly padlocked,
1:03.5	all of them hiding somebody's secret
1:06.1	behind their green metal faces?
1:10.4	The storage units came in 125 square foot or 75 square foot or smaller,
1:18.6	and there were hundreds of them, so plenty of room for mysteries.
1:23.6	John Shaw had settled down to mainly work night shifts. Perhaps it was the darkness or the quiet of the place in the dead of the night that drew him to those hours.
1:33.3	Sometimes he worked nights with Billy Laidlaw from Harraby,
1:38.3	sometimes with Polish Dan from Daubeck, and sometimes with Ian McGurke from Anand, but mostly on nights. He was on his own.
1:49.8	The storage units can be found in an old leather factory on a half-deserted industrial estate
