I'm so excited to be joining you for this devotional.

My name is Seth Stone, and I serve as our school of ministry director for the church.

And just to help you with what that means, that means I help interns and apprentices discern where God is calling them into ministry,

and I help do a little training with our staff with pastoral ordination and church plan of residency.

I am absolutely honored by the invite by Pastor Jobi to be with you in this devotional.

And as I was getting ready to share with you, I was thinking and praying over, where were we going

to go in this time together? And I thought that we would go to Job 1. Job 1, in fact, is one of the

most influential chapters of the Bible in my life. And it's been, it's going to help us answer

what a lot of people have been asking me recently.

So we're going to have a lot to cover.

So let's go ahead and jump in to Job 1-1.

And it says at the very beginning, there was a man in the land of Oas, and his name was Job.

He was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.

There were born to him seven sons, three daughters. He possessed 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, and 500 female

donkeys, and very many servants, so that this man was the greatest of all the people in the east.

Now, first of all, how would you like that to be your introduction, right?

You were wealthy, 7,000 sheep and 3,000 camels and 500 yoke and 500 female don't
