Hey church family, if you got your Bibles, it's Devo Time.

As I said yesterday, we're going to be in the book of Philippians for, I don't know how long,

maybe the next few weeks or so.

We're just going verse by verse.

We're going to pick up right where we left off yesterday.

So we're going to be in Philippians chapter one.

We're going to pick it up in

verse 12. And if you'll remember, we're coming right off of the heels of Paul saying to the church

at Philippi how grateful to God he is for them and what they mean to him in his life. And it was

right for him to feel that way. And then he closes with this prayer. prayer and basically it's a prayer from like verse 10

9 and following that just god continues to sanctify the church at philippa verse 12 he begins to shift gears a little bit

he says i want you to know brothers that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel.

What has happened to him is that he went to prison for preaching the gospel.

Now, Paul is the same person that authored the Book of Romans,

and in the book of Romans is chapter 8, which is the greatest chapter in the whole Bible,

and he says in one of the most

famous verses 828 that God is at work in all things for the good of those that love him

and are called according to his purpose. And one of the primary study tools for scripture

is always use the Bible as commentary unto itself.

And so Paul looks at his imprisonment, and he's saying,

you don't have to feel sorry for me.

Because I'm not focused on my circumstances,
