Hey church family, it is Devo time. If you got your Bible, we're going to be at the end of the

book of Psalms. We're going to start in 146. We're going to go all the way to 150, but we're going to do

that part at the end. So I want to talk to you about the way we end almost virtually every church service. Now I know some of you are watching

and you've never attended an 1122 service and we'd love to invite you to do so. And you could

attend online now. And literally hundreds of thousands of people are. But if you've been here,

you know what we do is at the end of the service,

we believe that the gospel demands a response. So our typical service, you know, is we worship God

through singing for, you know, two or three songs. And then there's a transition period where

one of our campus pastors will come up and pray, maybe give some announcements,

a little direction. And then I, or one of our teaching pastors, me about 42 or 45 times a year,

teaches God's word for 55 minutes or so. And then there is this call to response. And in my opinion, that is the most

important part of our service. Now, I would say that the proclamation of the gospel is the most

powerful part. That's where all the gospel is the most powerful part.

That's where all the power is.

This is why Paul says in the book of Romans that I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ,

for it is the power of God unto salvation.

So the power does not come from my words or the power does not come from the singing.

The power comes from the gospel.

So the reason I think the response time is the most important is because, in my opinion,

that is that moment where the seed has been cast and it lands on soil. And what you do after receiving the

word of God through the singing and the preaching, what you do with that matters like crazy.
