Hey, church family.

If you got your Bibles, John chapter 8 is where we're going to be.

John chapter 8.

And it is Devo Time, one of my favorite accounts in the scriptures.

There's so much here.

I should probably do a series on it one day.

Says this. It actually starts it one day. It says this.

It actually starts in 753. It says, they went each to his own house. They ate one.

But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. Early in the morning, he came again to the temple.

All the people came to him. And he sat down and he taught him. That was the, that was the custom in the first century. The rabbi would sit down and everybody else was staying.

And the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery.

All right. First of all, how do you catch somebody in the act of adultery? All right. First of all, how do you catch somebody in the act of

adultery? That's not something you just accidentally stumble in on, especially if there's a group of

you. Apparently, this is a little conjecture on my part, but give me just, you know, give me a little

grace here. I think that these men are like walking around hunting for somebody to break the law.

And then they find somebody.

So they find this woman who had been caught in adultery and placing her in the midst.

They said to him, teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery.

Now, in the law,

Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say? Now, first off, real quick,

isn't there something missing here? I don't know if you know what adultery is, but it seems like they only call it half of the participants of the act of adultery.
