The Berthalter era kicked off on Sunday as the US easily and

expectedly beat Panama 3-0. Yes, the win is important. But how this team won is

even more important. It's a small sample size and so the skepticism, cynicism, and criticism

of this team remains. But Bertholter's done a pretty good job of publicly articulating what

he wants this team to do. At least so far he's practicing what he preached.
