The MLS fan is constantly being told that the league they follow doesn't matter.

It isn't good enough, or it simply isn't real soccer.

I will readily admit that MLS is far from perfect, but most of the time the

MLS fan is one of the most educated, intelligent, and well-rounded fans in the

world, simply out of necessity and the reality of the unique American soccer culture.
