| 0:00.0 | Ryan Zink. Not Ryan Zinky. No. No, not a Rino. |
| 0:08.7 | Very different. Right. Sink. Thank you very much. So you're running for Congress. |
| 0:14.0 | I am. From Texas. Yes. Lots of people running for Congress from Texas. The reason I thought |
| 0:19.4 | we would all benefit from hearing your story |
| 0:22.0 | is that you were a January 6th defendant and you went through many years of trials, both literally |
| 0:28.7 | and figuratively in the aftermath of that. And you've emerged as a real candidate. And so I'd just |
| 0:36.0 | like to begin by hearing your J6 story. |
| 0:39.5 | What did you go to Washington on January 6th? |
| 0:42.3 | Then what happened? |
| 0:43.5 | So I guess to summarize, make things a little bit shorter is I was out on a break from school. |
| 0:49.9 | I was studying media strategy, public relations, but I got hit by a drunk driver. |
| 0:53.9 | And so my dad worked in sports medicine for years, and I had a lapse in my insurance coverage. So I went to Arizona to work on his congressional campaign. So he was at the time running against Ruben Gallego. Your dad? Yes. Oh, wow. And where were you, so you were in college when this happened? Yes. Yeah. So I came in late in college. Like I stopped and built wind turbines for, you know, a while. Just I kind of bounced. I didn't really find anything that I really loved until I found safety. And then, of course, now politics, apparently. But so I was helping him with his, you know, congressional campaign. because I was in media, like I had a camera, you know, and I was, like, we started off slow like everybody else does, you know, with his campaign where money was super tight. And so I went up there to, one, get free treatment for my neck and shoulder. And then from your dad. Yeah. And then, too, you know, just to help him on his campaign. So you're working for your dad in... From your dad. Yeah. And then, too, just to help him on his campaign. |
| 1:46.0 | So you're working for your dad in exchange for free neck and back treatment? |
| 1:49.0 | Pretty much. |
| 1:50.0 | Nothing free out of the old man. |
| 1:53.0 | Okay. |
| 1:54.0 | But, no, I mean, it was really my first glance in politics. |
| 1:58.0 | Like, the first time that I had ever voted was the Donald Trump's first term. |
| 2:03.9 | Yeah. Again, the only reason that I thought that was because I was like, you know, well, I've seen what, like, I met Bill Clinton in college at WT when I used to go there. And I was really weirded out by him when I met him. What about him? |
| 2:19.2 | Creepy, soft hands, his demeanor towards the girls that were in the room, like in the back area. |
| 2:27.1 | And then the way just the way he carries himself. |
| 2:31.3 | I think I was, I think it was discernment is what I think it was. Interesting. |
