This is the podcast where we talk about elements of the scriptures that have made them become more real to us because we believe that helps us apply them to our lives more.

I'm your host, Carrie Mielstein, and I'm so happy to have with me as my guest, my good friend and

colleague Ryan Sharp, who is a professor in the same department.

I am in ancient scripture at BYU.

I taught seminary and institute before that. And I will admit that I

sometimes just completely steal his ideas from his class and use them in my class. And every

third time I give him credit for it. So he's a fantastic teacher, fantastic individual. I believe

you're serving in a state presidency right now.

being here. And just so you know, the idea is that you may have stolen, I stole from somebody else.

So yeah, that's how it goes. We're probably three levels deep at this point. Yeah, actually one of them I think that I use most often I got from you, but you told me it was from Mark Ellison.
