Summary

Ryan grew up in Lisbon, Iowa not to far from Iowa City, and was a member of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club from an early age. He stood out in high school winning 3 state championships and eventually decided on the Hawkeyes. He talks in depth about that decision and the recruiting of Tom Brand to Virginia Tech. He performed at elite levels as a Hawk and got into coaching soon after his career ended which has landed him in IC now coaching for the Black and Gold.
