Hey, it's Ryan Holiday. Welcome to another weekend episode of the Daily Dad podcast. We just got back.

0:07.5

We spent about a week or so in Jackson Hole. I had a talk. They offered to put me up in a fancy

0:13.8

hotel and I said, I'll go, but only if you pay for a bunch of nights and I get to bring the kids,

0:19.3

which is what we ended up doing.

0:21.4

It's funny, my wife and I realized we had been to Jackson Hole

0:25.7

exactly 10 years earlier, ourselves.

0:30.5

Sort of weird to go how far from our minds was having kids then,

0:36.8

or at least from my mind, and then to be with these fully

0:41.0

fledged humans that were trailing us around the whole trip. It was pretty surreal. But anyways,

0:47.4

we got to Jackson Hole and some couple of parenting lessons that were actually, it was a good opportunity to apply them.

0:56.5

1:02.0

But overall, fun trip, we saw moose.

1:05.0

We went on this hike actually to see moose where we didn't see any, but there was a bear, which we did not see, but we were quite

1:12.7

on alert, as it was said to be in our immediate vicinity. So there was a special kind of

1:18.9

presence and intensity to that. We saw some wild bison, and we went on a couple hikes we took a boat across jenny lake saw this hidden

1:29.8

waterfall we uh i ran back i raced the kids of my wife took the boat back and i raced back to see

1:36.4

you could go back fastest that was that was fun it was a beautiful run before it got too hot

1:41.4

we uh it actually snowed one day in j, which is pretty incredible. We got up to

1:46.7

the top of this mountain, to this tram up there. It was like 10,000 feet, and it started snowing.

1:52.5

So overall, it was a really fun experience, and the talk went well, didn't consume too much of

1:59.5

my attention, or it wasn't too stressful, was right at the

2:03.1

beginning of the trip, and then we got a bunch of free time together. But back to the lessons
