Welcome back to Buckeye Talk. I am Stephen Means, and that is Stefan Priccinik, as we continue to go through Ohio State's 2026 schedule, looking at every team and looking at more big picture conversations with each one of these. And I think there's not a bigger picture than what's happening on September 12th down in Austin. Texas, when Ohio State heads to Texas to play what is probably going to be at worst, the top six matchup. Actually, you know what? You used to be a voter. Well, I am a voter. I'm going to mind my vote here a little bit. Where would you have Ohio State, Texas in the preseason right now? I would have Ohio State as my number one team, and I would have Texas probably number three. So I would have this as a top three matchup. So you would do what you did last year, except, well, yeah, where like the road team is the number one team and the home team is the number three. That's true. That's true. I would not be surprised if it's a top two matchup. I think Notre Dame might make things tricky because I think a lot of people are going to have them in the top two, so Notre Dame might get into the mix here. And rightfully so I think Notre Dame is going to be pretty good this year. But yeah, probably a top three matchup. There's also not really any marquee week one games, right, outside of, I think LSU Clemson is week one this year.

But I don't think either of those teams win or lose necessarily moves himself up into the top five or the top three even.

So there's not like a, there's not a huge match where it's like, okay, the winner of that game is probably going to move into the top three if they're outside of it.

So I feel pretty confident when we get to week to Ohio State and Texas. I would say at worst, it's a top five game, but I think it could be as high as top three. Maybe they are one and two. Who knows? I've been having like a juggle every week. I'll just go in and look at how I want to do my preseason and like,

do I still feel good about this? Do I don't? And it's like Oregon, Ohio, State, Texas,

Indiana, Notre Dame, kind of all in the mix to be like my top six and I just can't figure out

what the order is going to be. And the good news is I have a month and a half to figure that out, which is great. A month and a half, no football to use as a sample size, though. Exactly. It's just you in your mind. It's just vibes. Granted, it's just been vibes for six months. Like, you know, the rosters have been set since January. So it's just, this has been vibes of how I feel about things right now. Because I try to, I don't want a projection with this.
