And I'm Kyle Skonawell. And we are so excited to be back

for another week. We are in the middle of an epic rewatch journey through the MCU all the way to

end game. But we are watching these movies in something of a different order than how they were

released, hoping that maybe it tells

kind of a different story, hopefully maybe a better story, which brings us to this episode,

which is the second in our rewatch, and one that I'm pretty excited about. Kyle, do you want to

tell us about it? Last night, we watched Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel was released on February 27, 2019.

It's directed by Anna Bowden and Ryan Fleck, and it stars Bree Larson, Samuel L. Jackson,

Ben Mendelsohn, Jude Law, and Leshanna Lynch. Now, Robbie, before we get started, I wanted to give

two pieces of background information

for everybody okay okay so one is that when robbie and i hit record on this podcast it's the

first time we've actually given our thoughts on the movie we're talking about so it's the freshest

take we can give right so i don't know what robbie's going to say and he doesn't know what I'm going to say.

So I'm interested specifically regarding this movie because I feel like this movie's a little bit polarizing.

Yeah.

My second thing is we were originally going to watch the movie tonight and then do the podcast tomorrow.

But I watched it last night and the movie stuck with me and

sat with me so much that I legitimately had a hard time sleeping last night. So I'm so ridiculous. I'm

so ridiculous. So I was I was bothered. So I texted Robbie and said, can we just do the podcast

right away tomorrow morning? He obliged. And so here we are. But Robbie, before we get into
