US oil broke $76.98 a barrel on Tuesday. It's highest level in six years as OPEC, Russia,

and their allies again failed to agree on a production increase.

Demand for gasoline is at its highest since 2019, causing prices to rise to an average of $3.14

for a gallon of gasoline in the United States. According to AAA, that's up from $3.05 a month ago,

and they expect prices to increase another 10-20 cents through the end of August.

OPEC is keeping production low, and Russia and the United States are trying to mediate a deal to

raise output. Experts say price wars are almost always short-lived, and that OPEC members generally
