Thanks to God. I recently watched a Netflix documentary called Unlocked, a jail experiment.

Yeah, okay, a few of you.

If you're not familiar with it,

this documentary is set in an Arkansas detention facility and during the series we see

sheriff Eric Higgins implement a social experiment that is centered on the

premise of granting the men incarcerated in this facility with more agency.

The sheriff gives both autonomy and responsibility to the inmates over a three month period,

and he does so under the belief in really the hope that giving this kind of dignity might not only change how the inmates relate to one another

but ultimately how they will live their lives post incarceration.

Higgins theory was that giving more freedom would not only help the morale of the unit,

but ultimately that it would lead to greater personal vision for the inmates' futures.
