I pray to you guys, I have a wonderful day.

As you guys see from the title, we're back for another episode of our Faith and Film series, and today we're talking about Ruth and Boas on Netflix. Y'all, this is one of the greatest movies that I ever seen. First of all, y'all was in a comment telling me, you're going to watch Ruth and Boas, you're going to watch Ruth and Bowes.

0:20.9

I love the movie recommendations.

0:22.7

Actually, after this episode, leave more movie recommendations in the comment so we could talk about it. I really should have been in my living room, like popcorn or something while we talked about. Next movie, I'm going to have the aesthetics. But this one, I was just too excited to get it to y'all. Ruth and Boas is such a good movie. What makes it so good?

0:39.4

First of all

0:39.7

it's about the word of god need i say more but aside from that it triggers so many different

0:45.2

emotions like you're going to laugh you're going to be on the edge of your seat like suspenseful you're

0:49.3

going to feel like sad a little bit you're going to feel like oh like love like it takes you on emotional roller coaster, and it's also very thought-provoked. What I also love about the movie is that it's not identical to the story of Roof. They took parts out a lot, like 80% of it is identical to the story, but they made the movie modern. It's like a millennial Ruth and Boaz. They talk about social media, they're using some of our slang. They brought it to today's time. And I love that because it can reach the audience. I know a lot of people will prefer for it to be in a way where it's just like identical to the Bible. But they delivered it in a way where it can resonate and speak to the audience in today's time. It's not going to be identical because we don't live way back there.

1:30.0

In that time, there was no social media, right?

1:32.0

It's like they brought the book to life and they put it in a way where we can understand

1:36.6

based on where we are now.

1:37.9

Talk about reaching your audience or talk about God meeting you where you are.

1:41.9

This film is going to meet the generation where they are.

1:45.3

And I just love it so much. You guys know my brand is where Christ and Culture connects.

1:49.6

And I know that God has caught me to be a bridge for the culture. So this was like my brand,

1:55.5

my ministry in a film because that's exactly what this was. This was a movie that was not all churchy. It has secular parts,

2:03.6

but that's to show the power of God in the midst of whatever you're going through, whatever

2:08.3

you came out of in the secular world. God can still use you. And it also showed that when you

2:13.1

surrender your life to Christ, there's going to be some resistance. There's going to be some factors that try to stop you from surrendering your life to Christ, but you still have to push through that and still do what it is that God is calling you to do. And once you do that, you have to understand that there's still going to be a waiting season because a lot of times, I'm already getting into the notes, y'all. A lot of times people think that when you give your life to Christ, it just goes from this to that. And everything is just going to be pieces and cripples. But no, you have to go through a process where God tests your faith and takes you through a waiting season. That waiting season is God seeing how much trust you have in him. So the thing is, when you're living life and you're doing life your way, a lot of times it takes people breaking down and, you know, get into the end of the road where they realize, okay, I can't keep living life my way. I don't like how life is looking. I'm going to give my life to Christ. You have to go through that transition and that waiting season because this is where God changes your heart. If you give your life to Christ on Monday and God

3:08.4

give you all the blessings on Tuesday, that's not enough time for a heart change. There is a waiting

3:13.2

season because God still gives us free will. So in that waiting season, you're still going to be
