This is the Bible Book Club. And we're so excited to be in one of my favorite books, The Book of Ruth.

Last episode, we read Chapter 3 of Ruth. Naomi played Matchmaker, which was a crazy plan,

and Ruth got dressed up and lay at Boaz's feet while he was sleeping on the threshing floor.

It was a very risky move for Ruth, but she agrees willingly.

She must have been scared to death because Boaz sees that fear in her eyes, but the plan worked.

Boaz then realizes that he is the answer to his own prayer and that God would reward Ruth for her love and loyalty to Naomi.

However, there's a hitch for Boaz to become the Kingsman Redeemer, the relative closer to Naomi than he must first decline to do that deed.
