We're going through the Cinderella story of the Old Testament in six weeks with two amazing characters, Ruth, a Moabike gal who was widowed, Boas, an older, wealthy, affluent

single guy, they fall in love, get a little bad counsel from a gal named Naomi, and God works it all out so they can get

married, have a baby named Obed, and through him would come another guy you might have heard

about, his name is Jesus.

You're going to love this love story and I thank you for your

prayers. I thank you for your support and your gift of any amount as we get God's

We're in a great book of the Bible, the Book of Ruth,

and while you're finding your place in Ruth Chapter 2,

how many of you are single,

raise your hand, single people, single people, okay you guys can meet after service and

I want you to know something for the first time in the nation's history you all are the

majority. How many of you are married folks like I am? We are now

the minority. For the first time in the nation's history the majority of adults

are single, not married.

And so when we pick up this great love story of Ruth,

it's a Cinderella story of the Old Testament,

we find that it is incredibly timely,

though it's a 3,000 year old book of the Bible.
