Wednesday June 12th and this is your morning wire afternoon update. The US is looking to cast a wider net in regard to its sanctions

against Russia. Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce has the latest. The sanctions package

announced today seeks to zero win on several Chinese companies which have helped Russia pursue its war in Ukraine.

The US is also targeting Russia's financial infrastructure in hopes of slowing the flow of money into Moscow.

The Moscow Exchange has since said it would

suspend transactions and dollars and euros. Even with the thousands of Russian

businesses sanctioned by the US, Russia continues to rework supply chains with new

companies popping up. State Department officials say the

goals to make it harder for Russia to source crucial tech while driving up the price on other goods.

The sanctions announcement comes just before the G7 summit where leaders look to further aid Ukraine,

including turning frozen Russian assets into billions of dollars of support for Keith.

A federal judge in Texas has blocked President Biden's Title IX guidance for public schools.

Daily Wire investigative reporter Mureta Lordy has more.

The Tuesday ruling says that Biden's Education Department does not have the authority to rewrite the law and

reinterpret prohibitions against sex discrimination to include gender identity and sexual orientation.

The 2021 guidance would have opened up the door for schools to be liable for

discrimination if, for example, they block boys from using girls bathrooms.
