My fellow Americans, today I speak to a nation in grief, our entire nation, with one heavy

heart, is praying for the victims and their families.

Now, speaking to the NRA folks who are great, I love the NRA, I love the Second Amendment,

so you have to know that, and I want to speak now directly to America's children.

I want you to know.

This is what happens.

That was a horrible thing, and you're not going to be able to protect yourselves, what

you need, what you need, you know?

We have some incredible pro-Second Amendment governors here, including Governor Scott

of Florida, where's Governor Scott?

And so always, but especially today.

To the NRA, I can proudly say, I will never, ever let you down.

In these moments of heartache and darkness, I will never, ever let you down.

I will never, ever, infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
