We see the weapons systems on display in Ukraine. We hear of the Iranian drones,

and certainly the fancy weapons that are being shipped by NATO, including this acronym,

Attackums. However, what is the overwhelming amount of armament pouring into Ukraine,

and the scouring of the earth to my understanding for artillery shells? How is that changing the

global arms market? Good evening to you. Good evening. Thanks for having me. It's changing

it in a number of ways. Two of the most direct and probably biggest impact changes is simply to

the Ukrainian and Russian militaries. Ukraine, prior to this, and historically has been

one of the bastions of the Soviet Union's defense industrial base, and then in the years

following the Cold War, the platforms and military that it was fielding were mostly

of Russian and Soviet origin. But now it's absorbed all this western armaments, as you point it out,

that's going to profoundly change the Ukrainian defense industry writ large. On the other hand,

Russia sighed up until the invasion. They hadn't necessarily invested a lot in sort of armed

drones and UAVs in general, the invasion, and the way it's gone south pretty quickly on them
