to comment on the breaking news from London out of Riyadh.

U.S. and Russia agree to, quote, lay the groundwork, end quote, for ending Ukraine war.

What we know is that Secretary of State

Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov and their lieutenants met at a golden table hosted by

Muhammad bin Salman, MBS, the crown prince of Riyadh, surrounded by very careful gold trimming, the gold in this room I've

ever seen outside of Trump Tower. And what we're talking about is not just settling Ukraine war,

but the president also mentioned in his phone call with Vladimir Putin in these last days,

denuking. So this is a story that involves the U.S. and Russia significantly in other matters besides Ukraine. However, most notably,

Ukraine was not at the table and not invited. European Union was not at the table and not invited.

Is that of significance here, Russia talking to Washington over the heads of its European

adversaries?
