Hello, it's 35 days since Russian forces invaded Ukraine. Victoria is still on her hostile

environment training, so she's fully equipped to go into a dangerous place. So you've got

me Adam Fleming today and my day job is normally presenting newscast, which is Ukrainecast's

sister podcast on BBC Sounds every day.

And in fact, Adam, you are not the only Fleming on today's Ukrainecast, because Sir

Jeremy Fleming, director of GCHQ, that's the British government's listening station,

responsible for cyber intelligence, was speaking at the Australian National University on

Thursday and had some pretty interesting stuff on Ukraine.

And we will dive into that speech in quite a lot of depth, because it is really worth

listening to. And Jeremy Fleming's got a very, very critical review of the performance

of the Russian forces.

We've seen Russian soldiers, short of weapons and morale, refusing to carry out orders,

sabotaging their own equipment, and even accidentally shooting down their own aircraft.

And even though we believe Putin's advisors are afraid to tell him the truth, what's

going on and the extent of these misjudgments must be crystal clear to the regime.
