I started by asking Joe Barnes to talk us through some updates around the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

Yesterday, via the Winter Days newspaper, yesterday online, via the economist,

we covered the comments made by Trent Moore, who is the director of analysis for the US Defence Intelligence Agency.

He was essentially saying that Ukrainian forces could break through the rest of Russia's defensive lines by the end of the year.

He said that there was a realistic possibility of driving through the third and final trench system,

essentially, line of defence in that free-layered Serovkin line.

And this would give Ukraine essentially an open route towards the sea, where they could drive towards the sea of Az-Off, towards that coast.
