Russell Brand announced on Instagram today that he has made the decision to get water baptized.

So I haven't been following Russell's journey very closely, I will admit.

However, I am aware that he seems to be just on this ultimate quest for truth right now.

And the more and more that he searches for

truth through this smorgasbord of New Age spirituality, he's been a part of for years,

he's beginning to recognize that truth actually has a name and his name is Jesus Christ. So this reminds me a lot of my own testimony because for those of you that don't know,

I was entrenched in New Age spirituality for about a decade before I was radically saved by the Lord Jesus Christ in December 2021.

And, you know, what drew me to the New Age practice to begin with was I was

not only grieving the loss of my grandmother, but I was just hungry for spiritual truth, right?

I had good intentions. I wanted to heal. I wanted to be the best version of myself that I could

possibly be. And so that just

led me down, honestly, every road except the narrow one, which is funny because the Bible says

that the broad road is the road to destruction. And I can attest to how very true that is.

Because all these different paths, all these different worldviews and

ideologies and philosophies that are antithetical to Christianity, ultimately, we're all very

broad. And it did leave me in a lot of destruction. But the thing is, I truly believe when you are on a quest for the honest truth you will

land on Jesus because again he is truth he is the only way and he is the life and so when you are

really really seeking with seeking with that purity in your heart

to understand, you will land on Christ. And that's kind of why I really resonate with Russell where

he's at right now, because I see who I used to be and who he currently

is and I know what the Lord did in my heart when I was in that same place of just searching

and just so desperate to know, right? You can tell how thirsty he is and I'm just so hopeful that he's going to really drink from the living water and never thirst again.
