I knew report has raised a lot of concern that automakers are doing away with AM radios

in automobiles they manufacture.

Tesla was, I believe, the first to announce saying that the transmission, sorry, the transmission,

there is no transmission, that the transmission of the radio signal interferes with the

electronics of the automobile.

I don't know if that's true, but it has set off in a number of people a trend for automakers

doing away with AM radio.

Some folks have, Mark Levin, most notably, have declared that this is an attack on conservatism

in this country, this is an attack on talk radio influencers.

I don't know if that's true, it's all together possible.

That move has been talked about for quite some time.

When I got in radio in 2005, I'd been doing radio interviews for five years before that.

So for basically 25 years, there has been talk about the demise of the AM radio.

I've told the story before, so I've truncated here, but the AM radio was dead in about

8990 when one man revived it, and that was Rush Limbaugh.

For those of you who know the story, you know that AM radio at that time had been pushed

to the back shelf because of this new amplitude modulation, which is what AM stands for.

That means of transmission, which had been around since the beginning, was considered outdated.

We now had frequency modulation.

That's a tighter, crisper sound.

And for listening to music, it tends to be much better if you're within the listening
