When he was California's Lieutenant Governor, Gavin Newsom fully supported the 2017 state law that increased gasoline taxes.

Last year, running for governor, Newsom opposed about initiative to repeal those massive gas taxes and they elected him anyway.

But now that he's governor, Newsom has questions.

He's asking the state energy commission to investigate why California has the highest gasoline taxes in America.
