We have some news from Akadim folks on Monday. A nine week program starts at Duke University to destabilize masculine privilege.

Male students are being recruited, or as the university website puts it, male identified or masculine of center students are being recruited.

The application asks recruits to list their preferred gender. The program is targeting men, but what they end up with is apparently roll of dice.

The sessions are going to be held at the Duke's Women's Center whose mission is to resist patriarchal oppression.

Participants will interrogate their masculinity to learn how toxic it is. The name of the program, Duke University Men's Project.

after saying Texas deserved hurricane Harvey because they voted Republican. His name is Ken Astore, Sociology professor.

He tweeted, I don't believe an instant karma, but this kind of feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help him realize a GOP doesn't care about them.
