Happy Friday, everybody.

We are very, very close to college football.

And that means we're going to get some weird, wonderful, interesting stories as we get closer and closer to actual games.

As we get more hyped up with less actual information, it just gets a little weird.

And so let's talk about the two biggest stories on Friday before we get to our very special interview that I cannot wait for you to hear

with Savannah Spakes, who is one of the Ralphie handlers at Colorado.

That's right.

She helps run a live bison down a football field.

That's her extracurricular activity as a student in Colorado.

It's maybe the greatest thing I've ever heard of.

We're going to talk to Savannah later about that.

But before that, let's talk about a couple of the big news stories of the day.

One, Brian Harsen handed out some hats at Auburn.

Two, walk-ons are getting paid.

Both of these interesting in their own way.

The Brian Harsen Hats story, I bring this up only because it's something that

as a reporter, you know, when you talk to people about this stuff, they don't often understand

how the job works or what the job entails. And so I guess during the viewing period for

Auburn's practice, Brian Harsen came and handed some nice

underarmor Auburn hats out to the reporters that were there watching practice. Now,

for most beatwriters, most reporters, you're not allowed to wear the gear of the team you cover.
