Alright, let's get to the news. We're going to kick things off with a quick rundown of

some of the stories we're following right now.

Number one, former Trump Defense Secretary Mark Esper has a new book out on Tuesday and

it's a bit of a doozy. He writes that in 2020, the former president who suggested sending

a quarter of a million troops to the southern border asked Esper whether it was also possible

to quietly launch a few missiles into Mexico to destroy the drug cartel saying, quote,

we could just shoot some patriot missiles and take out the labs. No one would know it

was us. Esper also writes that Trump's behavior grew more erratic after his first impeachment.

No shit. That he was worried Trump would order soldiers to seize the ballot boxes on

election day and that when protesters assembled outside the White House following the murder

of George Floyd, the former president asked the defense secretary, quote, can't you just

shoot them in the legs or something? Dan, what are your reactions to this story about

the Republican front runner for the 2024 presidential race?
