Summary

There are many times in my life, I had every opportunity to quit.

I could've quit when I got locked up and became a felon.

But I didn't.

I could've quit when I was divorced 3 times.

But I didn't.

I could've quit when I was taken advantage of and stolen from by my clients and my employees, but  didn't.

A lot of this has to do with the fact I kept running this loop through my head.

Not just one, but multiple.

"If it is to be, it's up to me."

"Gotta see it through."

"Fuck Your Excuses."

Those are my 3 loops I still use today when shit gets tough.

When I want to quit.

When I feel supressed.

One thing I know about human beings, is we have so much more in the tank at the point we want to quit.

Keep going.

Find a loop or loops that work for you and run through them.

They'll get you through to the other side of the struggle.

mental loops. And I learned this from Navy SEAL friends of mine. And these Navy SEAL

0:33.7

friends of mine, they say things like slow as smooth, smooth as fast.

0:44.0

Slow as smooth, smooth as fast. And that's just one of the loops that I learned. Like for me and my head, when I'm going through a workout, I want to quit. And so if I'm doing a set of 15,

I have these mental loops that I run through when I want to quit. Fuck your excuses.

1:10.8

Fuck your excuses. And these 15 or 20 little mental loops that I have pushed me beyond what I could

1:18.5

do on my own. By taking my mind and repeating mantras and then staying focused on seeing

1:24.1

whatever through that mantra is allowing me to be the person to be a finisher.

1:28.9

That's where I got the name Closer.

1:30.2

I see things to the end.
