There was a man who had two sons.

The younger one said to his father,

Father, give me my share of the estate.

So he divided his property between them. Not long after that, the younger

son got together all he had, set off for a distant country, and there squandered his wealth

in wild living. So he got up and went to his father. ...and went to his father. The

The But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him.

Venn!

Fess! And was filled with compassion for him.

He ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. Wow. Such a powerful picture, isn't it?

Such a powerful picture of God's grace for us.

And that's what this message series is all about,

the power of God's grace. And so I just want to say wherever you're coming from spiritually today,

maybe you're really far from God. Maybe you come here every week, wherever you are on your spiritual

journey. I just want to welcome you to a house of grace today. That that's where you are coming

home to today. And we're so thankful that you are

here joining us this weekend. Today we get to look at a story, one of the most well-known and

well-loved stories in all of the Bible. It's often referred to as the parable of the prodigal son.

But it would be incomplete to call it just about the prodigal son

because there's more than one son in this story.

The story starts off with Jesus saying there was a man who had two sons.
