And he said, he was asked about the draft lottery. And if about the draft lottery was rigged or you know somebody was asking just about conspiracies basically about it and he said i'll tell you that i remember i was at an event and spoke to two NBA owners this was the day after the NBA draft lottery talking about the 2025 one of the MAVs had a 1.8% chance to get the number one pick and then the Mavs got it.

If you're listening to this show, you remember that very vividly because it was insane. We were live during it and it was still wild. And those two owners were both like, this was obviously fixed, talking to Pablo Tori and telling him that, yeah, it was obviously fixed that this happened. Of course, it just makes too much narrative sense for the Mavericks to make this insane trade,

to do a solid to the NBA to give an international star with these star qualities that had just made the NBA finals that had a polarizing personality and a polarizing game and all that was going to be talked about a ton

to send him to L.A.

With the Lakers, a storied franchise where they had these aging stars, and to have Nico Harrison be the fall guy. And of course, then, of course, the payback to the Dallas Mavericks and to the Mab's new owners was to be, well, we'll give you Cooper Flag if you do this. We'll reset your whole timeline.
