| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to Positively Dreadful. I'm your host, Brian Boyler. It's |
| 0:13.8 | October now, which in even numbered years marks the unofficial beginning of the |
| 0:19.0 | final sprint to election day. But quite apart from elections or mostly apart |
| 0:23.8 | from them anyhow, it also marks the beginning of a new term for the Supreme Court. And this |
| 0:28.8 | year more than others I can remember, it was marked by these kind of incredibly |
| 0:32.5 | dramatic contrasts. On one more inspiring hand, Katanji Brown-Jackson began her |

| 1:19.3 | porn online. This is all after Alito and his colleagues overturned Roe v. Wade |
| 1:26.5 | and sent the court's public legitimacy into the toilet, a backlash that has |
| 1:31.7 | given this right-wing majority seemingly zero pause. And that's perhaps because |
| 1:36.7 | they can see the lay of the political land as well as us lowly pundits. And they |
| 1:40.2 | know there are unlikely to be any consequences if they continue to come and |
| 1:44.1 | steer the country and shape it to their personal and political whims. So that's |
| 1:49.6 | the contrast. And it played out in real time already. On Monday, Justice Brown |
| 1:53.7 | Jackson and oral arguments raised some of the most probing questions in a case |
