Summary

Today, Glenn reads Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis' response to Donald Trump's attempt to disrupt her probe into his tampering of the 2020 election. Trump's motion is trying to get her fired, get the judge to be recused, and quash the special grand jury report. Glenn explains how she trashes Trump's motion. Then a new lawsuit brought by Noelle Dunphy (who is suing Rudy Giuliani for sexual assault and back pay) alleges that Giuliani sold presidential pardons for 2 million dollars each and split the money with Donald Trump. Glenn reads off her evidence and takes apart any defense Giuliani might try to wriggle out on.

Georgia District Attorney, Fannie Willis, has filed a response to Donald Trump's attempt to

0:19.7

disrupt her probe into election interference in the 2020 election by trying to get her fired,

0:25.3

get the judge to be recused, and quash the special grand jury report. What will Judge McBernie

0:30.8

decide? Here's Glenn. So friends, remember back in March, when Donald Trump's criminal defense

0:38.0

attorneys filed something that they called a motion to quash the Georgia grand jury's report.

0:47.2

Here was the New York Times headline back in March. Trump's Georgia lawyers seek to quash

0:55.1

special grand jury report. Now recall the special purpose grand jury issued a report that we believe,

1:04.8

though we don't know for sure, because nobody has seen it. It hasn't been publicly disclosed,

1:10.3

based on all the reporting and everything the grand jurors themselves said in media interviews

1:16.7

that they were authorized to give. The special purpose grand jury report recommends

1:23.3

inditing a whole bunch of people for violating Georgia state election laws. We suspect those people

1:30.3

will include Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, maybe even Lindsey Graham. We'll see. These are the

1:36.5

people who will find themselves on the wrong side of the V, people of Georgia V versus Trump, Rudy

1:46.0

and a host of others, and the Trump defense team filed a motion to quash that report. Okay,

1:53.8

what is a motion to quash? A motion to quash is basically a motion to have the judge throw out,

2:03.2

kill, invalidate the grand jury report. Basically, it's a motion to urge the judge to tear it up,

2:13.3

throw it away, declare it null and void. When Donald Trump's second, maybe third rate criminal

2:23.0

defense team down in Georgia filed this motion to quash a grand jury report back in March. You

2:29.6

know what the first thing I said was? A motion to quash a grand jury report is not really a thing

2:37.8

in the criminal law. And I predicted the district attorney, Fawni Willis, would soon file something

2:45.2

in court telling Trump's attorneys that a motion to quash a grand jury report is not really a thing
