Cass, if I may today, I would like to start off today's episode with a quote from the designer that we are covering today,

Anonymity, universality, unisex, nudity as a fact, not a kick, and all about reality.

By reality, I mean the use of real things.

Blue jeans, polo shirts, t-shirts, overalls, status fashion is gone.

What remains?

Something I am obliged to call authenticity.

Comfort is the rationale.

Good looks deriving more from the person than the clothes.

The clothes are merely an instrument for the individual's own body message.

And if that sounds like an exact description of the oh so recent trend note as norm core.

So you know mom jeans with the t-shirt and dad sneakers thrown together with a hoodie and a backpack.

Let us give you a little surprise in your day dress listener that these words were uttered actually not today,

but exactly 50 years ago in 1971 by one of fashion's great visionaries,
