There's a guy I've been wanting to get on on the podcast for quite a while.

Malcolm Jenkins, Safety for the Philadelphia Eagles, a guy that really talks the talk and walks the walk.

He was involved with social activism during the whole Kaepernick issues earlier in the season last year.

But it has continued, and he has done it throughout, going on ride-alongs with

cops, meeting on Capitol Hill, not once, but twice with leaders continuing dialogue there,

talking about how it's so important for him to do things beyond football and what it's like

to have been with the Saints and the Eagles under Chip Kelly, now Doug Peterson,

an advice that he would give to draftees as they face their life starting out in the NFL this week.

you having me. As I said, I've been a fan because, you know, the way I am, I just look at people

and I say is their depth. Is there more to it than what we see? And I always admire athletes that are more than

sort of cliches and really show themselves to be interested and interesting. And I've always found

that about you when you're coming out of Ohio State and since you've been in Philadelphia,

it just seems like you take on more of an interest in things beyond sports.

And I know some people don't have the interest in that, maybe not the aptitude, but I've admired that in you from the beginning.

Oh, I appreciate that.

Something with your upbringing, something with parents, seeing it around you.
