It's the night before our big class tomorrow. We have over 125 guys coming to

Bergen County tomorrow June 13 and 14th. So everybody's excited and I'm

pumped him. I've been reading case law for four days. I read two friggin case law books.

I'm case law out of my mind but I'm trying to pick something out I want to give

everybody else who's not be able to attend class tomorrow or something to work with.

I know guys wait over the weekend to get something new and just

reading a book and I thought this was a good one. So routine frisks are held unlawful and this is

State versus Lipiski and it says the the appellate division held that when there are no facts or

circumstances supporting an objective or even subjective concern by the officer for

his safety the Constitution prohibits that officer for conducting a routine pat-down frisk.

After ordering our suspected, suspected a Texcated driver out of the vehicle.

Now, absent the intoxication, the Constitution does not authorize routine pat-downs,

and absent the officer's belief that the suspect may be

armed or dangerous. So I've had classes where people were like, well you had the

guys, I'm showing videos for my stuff and like, oh yeah the guy step out of the car,

but you didn't pat frisk him. And I'm like can't and people were like well we do it in our department

fine you know like if you're gonna do if you're working in a fucked up area and it's rough and you're doing pat frisks.

Like I'm not going to be the guy that's going to tell you you can't do them.
