There are not many things that we can count on in life, but one of them is the Colorado Rockies having bad pitching.

The Rockies' first season was the 1993 season. The team has made the playoffs just five times,

and the number one reason is the team seemingly

always having bad pitching, a function, of course, in large part of the mile high altitude in Denver.

The Rockies came into this weekend's three-game series against the Nationals with the following

rankings for this regular season, dead last in

the majors in Team ERA, dead last in the majors in Team ERA plus, dead last in the majors in Team

Whip. This series profiled as a potential get-right series for the Nats offense. And sure

enough, the Nats offense on Friday night was outstanding.

An 11-5 win at the National League West Worst Rockies in a game in which the Nats scored five runs in

the top of the third, four runs in the top of the fourth, and two runs in the top of the six.
