And a follow up to last week's news story about Disney's plans for a new resort area in

The Orlando Business Journal is reporting that Disney's latest announcement has struck a

note of fear into hotels along Highway 192, but some suggesting that the new expansion

could force some of these hotels out of business.

Part of Disney's proposed expansion beyond the addition of the four seasons resort is

to add between four and 5,000 moderately priced hotel rooms near the west side of

Disney property.

When Disney opened its all-star resorts in 1994, and the pop-century resorts in 2003,

there were several smaller hotels that were forced to lower their rates to compete, and

some of them ended up going out of business.
