Hello, residents. My name is Maddie Watts and thank you for downloading this month's

0:05.5

episode of the EM Clerkship podcast. This month's episode is sponsored by Pearson Rabbit's Insurance,

0:11.6

who is my personal independent disability insurance agent. We will talk more about Pearson

0:16.5

Ravits later in the episode. So as you guys might know, today is my first time actually being on the

0:22.2

flip side of the game. And I'm super excited, but I'm also a little bit nervous. I have realized

0:28.1

in writing these cases and preparing that Zach and Mike have made this look a lot easier than it

0:32.6

actually is. It can be quite hard to staircase the way you want to, so you guys are going to have to be patient

0:38.5

with me as I learn how to do this. But today I'm with one of our fabulous new EM interns, Sean

0:44.2

Romney, who you guys are familiar with from case one. Sean, I feel like I might have been a little

1:02.6

I've only been in the department for three weeks. So it was a great learning point, and I'm okay

1:07.5

with struggling a little bit. Well, that's great. That's our goal for Eam Clerkship is just to help all of us feel more

1:14.1

prepared on shift. So with that being said, are you ready for another case?

1:19.0

Yeah, let's get to it. All right. So today is round number three of the game 3.0, and it's round number two for Sean. He will need to

1:30.8

complete today's case in real ABEM oral boards format and he will have 15 minutes to

1:35.6

complete the case. He does not know what this case is ahead of time. As you guys know, if he hits

1:41.2

all of the critical actions that I have listed out beforehand, he wins.

1:45.4

But if he doesn't or if he performs a dangerous action, then I win.

1:50.7

These cases were created by me, but they are not drive from actual oral boards cases because I haven't taken my oral boards yet.

1:57.5

And they are not real patient cases that I've had.

2:03.6

All right. So Dr. Romney, please take out a piece of paper and a pencil, place the paper sideways in front of you, outline a human body on the left side,
