Before we get to that, however, I would like to remind you to rate and review the podcast wherever you find it. It helps other people find the show. It helps us in the rankings, and we very, very much appreciate it. In fact, you could say we are thankful for it, Rich. Do you like that, huh? Yeah, yeah, that was nice. Yeah, happy Thanksgiving, Ray. Happy thanks sitting to everyone out there. I know you're excited for, you know, Grandma Summerlin's pumpkin cake, pumpkin pie cake. Yeah, I know you're ready for that. | 1:34.4 | you know, drinking, drinking stuff. Yep, just drink and get stuff. |
| 1:39.3 | And the other thing that's as American as possible is watching football on Thanksgiving. |
| 1:45.3 | And one of the things, I mean, this has been a tradition of mine now for, I guess it's been a long time going now, |
| 1:49.8 | but if you haven't played DFS on Thanksgiving Day, you are missing out. It is just a fun slate. |
| 1:56.7 | There are three games. So it's, you know, it's those limited slates. But it's just so much fun. |
| 2:01.6 | You get to watch them all. |
| 2:02.9 | They, none are at the same time. And you get to that night game and you have so much riding on it and you're so full. And in some people's cases, you're so inebriated that it's just, it's just a great time. I recommend it highly. normally we talk about the Thursday game, |
| 1:58.5 | but since there's three, |
| 1:59.4 | we don't really have time to go through all of them, |
| 2:01.4 | but I would like to, you know, |
| 2:02.7 | maybe... great time. I recommend it highly. Normally we talk about the Thursday game, but since there's three, we don't really have time to go through all of them, but I would like to, you know, maybe hit on something rich that you're looking at in each of these games. Let's start with the Vikings of Lions, the first game. It's got a 45 point total. The Vikings are three point favorites on the road. What kind of sticks out to you in this game? Yeah, we were kind of talking before the show about this little bit and this these games. And, you know, I think that the play here when you play all three games, I think, is the go Vikings heavy and, you know, focus on their backfield. I mean, Detroit has allowed multiple rushing touchdowns now in three straight games. They've allowed 200 rushing yards and back-to-back games. The Vikings have at least one rushing touchdown in nine of ten games this season that's the most in the league, and the lines have faced the most rushing attempts from inside the five-yard line in the NFL this season. So, I mean, I'm looking at that backfield. Both guys are splitting touches, and they're both getting enough touches to be relevant. I mean, even McKinnon that has, since Latavius has got to cut in, do his goal line work. McKinnon still has 17 or more touches than five as past six games. Lions are still vulnerable to running backs out of the backfield. And the best part about going Vikings heavy on the early slate is if it bricks, you can just play the late slate and get in on the next two games. |
| 3:25.5 | Yeah, I agree with you completely about the Vikings. If I was taking a shot here, |
| 3:29.6 | I think that it might be the contrarian play here because I do like this offense a little bit, |
| 3:34.3 | even though it's not a good matchup in the passing game. I think you could take a shot on |
| 3:38.1 | Stefan Diggs coming off of a bad game, probably going to see a lot of Darius Slay. If there's one person in this game, no one's going to touch that I actually would be interested in playing. I'm not interested at all in Amir Abdullah. I'm not interested at all in Marvin Jones. But someone that I might be interested in playing is Stefan Diggs, and he's certainly going to be lower own than Thalen, probably lower own than a lot of wide receivers here. So he's an interesting guy, but another contrarian thing you can do is something I'm definitely going to do is put both Latavius and McKinnon in the same lineup, which is something that I think is an interesting play. So last week, the Bears have some success. Jordan Howard and Tariot Cohen both did well. |
