interested in him if they put a qualifying offer on him because, you know, they offered him

14 million in one year, then the teams without protected picks would have

to lose a pick if they signed him.

And I just didn't think that anybody would do that.

But I guess they didn't want to risk the fact that,

you know, he could be out there in a team with a protected pick

like the Mets or something could just sign him

for two and even, know even less than 14 but more years

So they just went out there and did it you know I guess if you look at it based on wins per you know you know when there

wins of up replacement it's not incredibly terrible I mean he was almost a two

win pitcher this year.

And if he did manage to do something like four wins over the next two years,

you know, with the extra money in baseball, it could be almost worth that.
