It was pretty cool to hear you talk about Granky and Dan Heron wanted to talk to you because you were

with fan graphs and weren't running away from you.

Yeah, it's the first time that's happened to me.

I mean, other than actually Dickie, I guess, but because the first time I ever talked to

Dickie, it was because he said, you know, he told some reporter to look him up on fan graphs so that actually

I forgot about that but this is the first time that pitcher has called me

over and tried to walk me through pitching war and asked me why his war went down after a good

start against the Tigers as Heron did.

So Heron had a good point, you know, he held the Tigers to one run in like five or six innings

with four, I think it was six innings, four strikeouts, one home run. And, you know, I had to explain to him that the strikeout rate was about

average that the Homer rate was worse than average and that the Homer was worth in in LA was worth more than the

Homer he gave up in Arizona because we do park adjusting and all that stuff.

It was actually kind of a difficult conversation because I'm kind of telling him that.

Not as good as you think.

Right.

But in the end, his point was, well, this is the Tigers you know and there should be some

There should be something in there about quality of opponent and I can't say that I disagree completely and talking to other people at

fan graphs it seems like that is something we think about and we're thinking
