| 0:00.0 | This is D.J. Moore, you're listening to A Rosterwatch.com |
| 0:47.0 | Tradecast. My name's Byron Lambert. And of course, this is where we come every week |
| 0:51.0 | to analyze to break down the fantasy football trade market. |
| 0:55.6 | And of course, it's imperative at this juncture of the season that our number one |
| 1:00.5 | objective is we are pursuing the consolidation trade. |
| 1:04.1 | That's where we're taking two of our good players, two of our players that ideally are |
| 1:08.7 | overperforming or maybe just appropriately valued, and we |
| 1:12.0 | package them up and we send them off to another team in exchange for one player that we view |
| 1:19.1 | as superior or better in return. |
| 1:22.7 | Optimally, it would be somebody that we're buying low on in order to maximize that value |
| 1:27.4 | that we're getting in |
| 1:28.0 | return. And, you know, consolidation trades, those are the trades that we're doing when we're |
| 1:33.4 | buying. Those are oftentimes the trades that we're doing when we're winning or operating from a |
| 1:37.7 | position of strength or our team is performing well. And the idea behind it is that we will continually level our roster up by making |
| 1:50.5 | these trades. And what I mean by that is if we're continually consolidating two players into one |
| 1:56.7 | better player, over time, that's going to accumulate a whole bunch of talent across our entire |
| 2:05.5 | fantasy roster, our bench and our starting lineup. So it slowly will improve every position |
| 2:12.6 | on our team. And more importantly, or equally as importantly, part of this process when we make these |
| 2:21.1 | consolidation trades is that thereby we liberate a roster spot that we can use for another |
| 2:28.9 | ever so important waiver wire ad. And as you guys know, we preach about cultivating waiver wire gold every week of the season. |
| 2:39.0 | And this is where we're going to take guys that can be had on the cheap on our waiver wires now. |
| 2:43.4 | And in just a few weeks, they'll be as valuable or more valuable than potentially the guys that we traded. |
