Some quick news here before we get to my guest today

and according to Field Yates, the 49ers

and veteran offensive linemen,

Tom Compton have agreed to a reworked contract in which his base salary drops to just

over $1 million from $2.15 million in a chance to earn some money back through bonuses.

Didn't look great in camp.

I think the 49ers see him now as a backup player

and they're like, look, we're not going to pay you this much money.

Saving some cash is interesting too.

Are they trying to gear up for a move?

And look, this isn't going to be Jadavian clown or some massive move like that don't expect it but

using the cash left over from a decreasing the salary of one offensive linemen to maybe go get a center

He was in my projection as making the roster,

and I think this definitely solidifies that.
